Frosty the Revolutionary
It's Happy Hour! In this episode Matthew creates a diorama in a glass with his cognac and tequila fueled La Revolucion. It's a lusciously rich concoction full of history. Meanwhile Ben presents his icy, minty, wintry Frosty Barrel. It's cold cool and cooling over the embers of bourbon and benedictine. They also discuss the right time to decorate for the holidays and give advice on how to make any drink a holiday drink. Ben also apologizes for his behavior. Recipes Below.
La Revolucion
- 1 oz Cognac
- 1 oz AƱejo Tequila
- 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of orange peel.
Frosty Barrel
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1/2 oz DOM Benedictine
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 5-10 mint leaves
Muddle mint leaves and syrup at the bottom of a shaker. Add bourbon, benedictine and lemon juice and ice. Shake until chilled. Double strain into highball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with more mint.
