Cherries on a Cocktail Pick

It's Happy Hour! In this episode Ben presents the perfectly over named Mon Cherry Frexicano. It's a Mezcal Cherry sipper perfect for drinking while wearing your smoking jacket. Meanwhile Matthew sticks out with his Clavo Oxidado. A Latin riff on a Scottish classic which is also good after dinner faire. Also, they discuss wet weather wear and how to kick your cocktails up an extra notch. Recipes below.

Mon Cherry Frexicano

  • 1 oz Mezcal
  • 1 oz Cognac
  • 1 oz Cherry Liqueur

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with 3 Luxardo cherries.

Clava Oxidado

  • 1 1/2 oz Reposado Tequila
  • 3/4 oz Licor 43
  • Garnish: Orange Twist

Combine the tequila and Licor 43 into a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30 seconds until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Express orange peel oils over cocktail and drop peel into the glass.
