(Originally titled: "Do it for Ginny") Pitching, defense and Wilmer Flores. The boys react to the 5-1 opening road trip including the excellent starting pitching, the equally good relief pitching and the offensive exploits of Ramos and Flores. Then they also discuss how the great start impacts their expectations for the season. And they pay tribute to Ben's recently departed furry friend. Do It for Ginny!

Speaking of cocktails, today Ben is drinking an Old Tom's Read Headed Lover aka Ginny while Matthew is drinking a Ginny. Recipes below.

Old Tom's Red Headed Lover aka Ginny

  • 1 1/2 oz Old Tom Murphy Gin
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 3-4 oz Ginger Beer (pre-chilled)
  • Add gin and lemon juice to a highball glass with no ice. Stir well to combine. Add ice and then carefully add the ginger beer. Do not stir.

Ginny

  • 2 oz White Rum
  • 1 oz Ginger Liqueur
  • 1/4 oz Grand Marnier
  • 1/2 oz Orgeat
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters
  • 2 dashes Peach Bitters
  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 10-15 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
